On Wednesday 16th November, we celebrated International Day for Tolerance which fitted well with our Anti-bullying week as well as our value of the month ‘Resilience’. It was such an inspiring day which started off with a special whole-school assembly hosted by Mr Marshall and Miss Coleman.
Every class had the opportunity to discuss in depth, through drama, stories, art and Philosophy for Children, the meaning of tolerance and both what we should be tolerant of and what we should not be tolerant of. Our aims is to teach children to be tolerant and respectful of people of all backgrounds, faiths and cultures but to be intolerant of bullying. With anti bullying week the message is that we have a “zero tolerance” of bullying in school.
