What a term of sporting success!
This term has seen Coldfall win two tournaments and finish runners up in another.
Netball
In the Haringey Hi 5 Netball, Coldfall competed against 20 other schools from the borough winning 7 out of 9 games in the group stages meaning we won the group and qualified for the Semi-finals. In the Semis we played against Weston Park Primary a repeat of last year’s final, Coldfall came out on top 6-3 in a very exciting game. The final saw Coldfall compete against St Marys, in a hard fought final Coldfall lost 2-1. Although a disappointing end to the competition we are extremely proud of the team who scored a total of 78 goals and only conceded 11.
Table Tennis
Table tennis brought our first taste of success this year, winning the boys tournament at Alexandra Park Secondary School. The team consisting of Sam Gabriel, Josh Tilley-Hill, Noah Hacking and Ishay Haim played a total of 20 games each to come out on top beating Muswell Hill in the final. This success is down to the hard work put in over the last two years by the whole team, progressing each year to reach this well deserved win. The following week saw our girls team compete in the same event finishing 4th overall.
Football
Friday saw our year 5/6 boys football team compete in the Elms London Inter Primary School Cup. This brought together schools from Haringey, Enfield and Waltham Forest to compete for a place at the London Finals. This will bring together the winners and runners up from 6 other competitions throughout London. In what was a tightly fought contest all day, Coldfall played Whitehall A team in the semi finals winning 4-0 to progress to the final where we played against a Devonshire Hill team that had only lost one game previously. Coldfall won the game 4-1 with an outstanding team performance with goals coming from Anthony Michael x2, Sam Goldstone and Harry Collins.
A special mention must also go to the Girls football team that also competed at the tournament which was their first football competition of the year doing very well and finishing 5th overall.
Lastly this term has also seen our first intra-class cup competitions of the year with each class competing against the other 2 class from their year group in Football, Netball and Athletics.
The winning classes so far have been:
