ART @ COLDFALL

Letters to Parents

WHAT WE'RE DOING
“Art is not what you see, but what you make others see” (Degas)

At Coldfall we have commissioned a bespoke scheme of work for art to complement our ‘Global Curriculum’.  Each half term, children will take part in an art project that will take place over the course of a week of afternoon sessions.

Please see the attached document, which outlines what children will be doing in art this year, and look out for photos of the final pieces!

Sarah Callis Workshops – (in addition to class teacher taught art)

Here are some examples of the stunning work produced by children as part of the art projects being rolled out across the school by parent Sarah Callis.

By the summer term, every class will having taken part in a project, helping to raise the profile of art at Coldfall Primary School.

A big thank you must go to Sarah, as well as the Friends of Coldfall who are part-funding the majority of this exciting project.  This type of work would not have been able to go ahead without their support and Sarah’s vision.

Loyalty

When thinking of this value I’m reminded of footballers, who having scored a goal, run to their supporters kissing the badge on their shirt.
