OPAL Survey
We would be very grateful if parents and carers could fill in this OPAL survey. We have our final OPAL visit in September and would love to share some positive feedback!
Term Dates
On 27th June the school will be open as normal and before and after school provision will be available as usual.
The Summer Term will end on 18th July.
Coldfall Summer Camp – book now!
Here is some feedback from parents about our holiday camps
"The holiday club was such a hit for my kids, they played outside all day!"
"We only booked for two days in the Coldfall camp at half term and my children have asked me to book more days for the summer."
"There was so much for them to do, they came home so tired every day!"
Summer Holiday Camps booking is now open! Please book via Arbor.
Community Litter Pick – Coldfall Woods
Join us for another Community Litter Pick of Coldfall Woods! We are joining forces with other local schools to clean up our beautiful ancient woodland. We will have litter pickers for the first 30 people who arrive. Children need to be accompanied by an adult.
Date: Wednesday 25th June
Time: 3.45 – 4.30
Place: Meet by the gate from Coldfall Primary that goes directly into the woods (go down the footpath closest to school that leads from Everington Road into the woods, and you’ll see a blue fence on the left when you enter the woods – we’ll meet there)
Bring: A bag for your rubbish, gardening gloves if you have them.
Leavers
We would like to remind all parents and carers of children from Nursery up to Year 5, if you haven’t already been in touch, to please let us know if you are planning to leave Coldfall Primary School during this term or at the end of this academic year. This helps us in our planning for the upcoming academic year. We kindly ask that you email the school office at your earliest convenience. We will need your child's name, class, leaving date as well as new school name and address, and if applicable, your new home address.
Tesco Stronger Starts
We are pleased to announce that you will be able to vote for Coldfall for Tesco Stronger Starts from July 2025 until the end of September 2025. The school could win up to £1500 to improve our OPAL play even further. This will be available at Colney Hatch Tesco Extra, Brent Cross Super Store, Finchley Super Store, New Barnet Express and many more. Thank you for your support.
Dressing for the weather
As the weather is very hot right now, please ensure children are dressed and prepared for the weather. Sun cream should be applied before school. want children to be able to play outside regardless of weather. Thank you.
Head Lice
We continue to have several cases of head lice throughout the school. Please would you kindly check your child’s hair thoroughly over the weekend, and if necessary, treat them immediately to avoid further infection. You can treat head lice without seeing a GP, or you can speak to a pharmacist for a recommended treatment. You should check everyone in the house and start treating anyone who has head lice on the same day with ongoing weekly treatments for a duration of at least three weeks. Thank you.
Number Champions
We are looking for volunteers for 1.5 hours a week to help children who are struggling with maths. Please see the flyer attached for more information. Please email Mrs Gazzard via the school office if you are interested.
Picking up from school, Nursery, Activity Clubs and Night Owls
Collecting children late impacts our staff who work outside their hours to look after children. Please collect children on time.
Also, please ensure you inform a member of staff when collecting from clubs and Night Owls so that we know your child is safe.
Once you collect your children, please do not remain on the school site. You should collect your child on time and then exit the site straight away. Children who have been collected are not permitted to play on the climbing frame etc. Thank you.
Choir and Junior Chorus Assemblies
On Friday 4th July Junior Chorus will be performing in a whole school assembly. Parents of children in Junior Chorus are invited to attend.
On Friday 11th July the Choir will be performing for the whole school at 9am. Parents of children in the Choir are invited to attend.
Sweets/Party Bags
A reminder not to allow children to bring any sweets to school (including delivering party bags from parties at the weekends). Some children are not allowed to eat sugar for various reasons and this can cause difficulties for them.

Any named lost property will be returned to your child’s class or can be collected from the playground every Friday after school.
