Weekly reminder 15th - 19th September 2025
Whole School
Parent Outlines
Next week we will be sending you an outline for each year group so you can see what your child will be learning this term. This will also be on the school website.
Class Meetings – at 3pm in your child’s classroom
Year 5 - Monday 15th September
Help Required
We have an upright piano that needs to be moved from an upstairs classroom to the Lower Hall. This would be a job for a professional moving company due to the weight and placement of the piano. If anyone in our parent and carer has community has connections to a professional moving company who may be willing to assist in moving the piano at a discounted rate then please email Miss Vetch k.vetch@coldfall.haringey.sch.uk
Instrumental Lessons
Instrumental lessons will begin over the next few weeks depending on instrument. If your child has lessons organised through Haringey Music Service (piano, violin, guitar, drums) your child’s teacher will contact you directly to let you know their start date. If your child has singing, woodwind or brass lessons organised through school we will contact you to let you know when your child will be starting lessons. There is no need to contact the school regarding lesson start dates.
Pencil Cases
Please remember that children in years 1-6 will need to bring their own stationery in pencil cases from next week. Please see the attached letter for the full details.
Nut- free school
Please remember we are a nut-free school. Do not send any nuts or products containing nuts (e.g. pesto, cereal bars etc) in to school a snacks or packed lunches.
Tesco Stronger Starts
We are pleased to announce that you can now vote for Coldfall for Tesco Stronger Starts until the end of September 2025. Please see the attached photo of Olivia casting her vote!
The school could win up to £1500 to improve our OPAL play even further. This will be available at Colney Hatch Tesco Extra, Brent Cross Super Store, Finchley Super Store, New Barnet Express and many more. Thank you for your support.
Picking up from school, Nursery, Activity Clubs and Night Owls
Once you collect your children, please do not remain on the school site. You should collect your child on time and then exit the site straight away. Children who have been collected are not permitted to play on the climbing frame etc. Thank you.
Sweets/Birthday treats
A reminder not to allow children to bring any sweets to school including for birthdays.
From this term, we ask you that if you wish to celebrate your child’s birthday in school with the class, to send in either a board game for the class (see below) or a new book for the class library or stickers. We will no longer be allowing cakes and sweet treats to be distributed at the end of the school day. This is to help instil the importance of healthy food choices, reduce litter, reduce the amount of time and administration staff have to do around allergies etc and to help engender a love of reading and playing board games. Thank you for your support.

Taking place Thursday 25th September 7:00pm at the school. A meeting link will also be shared on the day for those wishing to join online.
At the AGM, we’ll share how much we’ve raised this past year, where those funds have gone, and the positive impact they’ve had on our children’s education.
It’s also an opportunity to meet other parents and share your ideas for the coming year.
We’d love to see you there!
