Weekly reminder 9th March - 13th March 2026

Whole School

Plastic Bags

Please can all children in Year 1 to 6 bring a plastic carrier bag to school by Wednesday 18th March. This will be used in a workshop on Monday, 23rd March.

Contacting Teachers

We politely remind you to please email the school office with enquiries about children rather than directly to teacher’s personal email addresses. It is important for the boundaries around this to be respected in the interests of staff well-being. These will then be forwarded to the appropriate member of staff.

Wellies

Please check your child’s wellies are CLEARLY LABELLED with their NAME. Lots are getting misplaced or put back in the wrong place at break time, and it really helps if they have names in. Also, lots of children have the same wellies, which can cause confusion.

Smartphone Free School

Coldfall is a proud and strong supporter of the Smartphone Free childhood movement. Over 170 parents have signed the pact not to give their children a smartphone. Please find out more and sign the pact here: https://www.smartphonefreechildhood.org/parent-pact

Parent Evenings

Wednesday, 11th and Thursday, 12th March.

Please be reminded that there are NO activity clubs running on these dates. Parents and Carers have NOT been charged for these sessions. NIGHT OWLS will be running as usual.

Breakfast Club

We strongly recommend that you walk your children to the door of breakfast club in the mornings rather than leaving them at the school gates (this applies to older children as well). The site is not supervised early in the morning. Please also be reminded that you will not be able to come in for Breakfast club until 8.00am.

Bringing in items late to school

If there is an item that you or your child has forgotten (such as water bottles, clothing, bags, books, musical instruments, lunch or snacks, etc.) can these please be brought to the office NO LATER than 9.30am. Taking items to classrooms during school hours disturbs teaching and learning, as well as the office.

Coldfall Avenue School Gate – Opening Hours

The Coldfall Avenue gate is locked between 9.05 am and 3.15 pm. Please use the Everington Road entrance during these times. Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring the safety of all children.

Apply for Pupil Premium Funding

Some of our families may be entitled to Free School Meals funding (FSM), which can be used by the school to pay for additional support such as extra tuition, mentoring or after school activities etc. The school would receive this funding as Pupil Premium Funding. If you think that you may be eligible, you can check by going online to https://pps.lgfl.org.uk/ and clicking on “Check Eligibility”. We will receive a notification from Haringey if you are eligible.
