Weekly reminder 6th - 9th May 2025
Whole School
Coldfall and the RNLI
The RNLI (The Royal National Lifeboats Institution) will be visiting Coldfall on Friday 6th June to deliver some workshops in upper KS2 and to film some promotional material for their education campaigns. (Photo permission forms will be sent separately). We will be planning some whole school fundraising activities so that we can give them a donation on the day. If you or your children would like to take part in any additional fundraising for this worthwhile charity, you could consider taking part in the Mayday Challenge (walking/running/cycling one mile a day for the month of May) or planning your own sponsored event. If you do want to fundraise, or if I can be of any assistance, please let me know. (From Mr Descrettes.)
Picking up from school, Nursery, Activity Clubs and Night Owls
Once you collect your children, please do not remain on the school site. You should collect your child on time and then exit the site straight away. Children who have been collected are not permitted to play on the climbing frame etc. Thank you.
Injuries
If your child has an injury which prevents them from joining in with their normal lessons such as PE or written work, please send an email to the class teacher via the school office. Otherwise, we will assume children are well enough to participate.
Parking
Please do not park in the disabled parking spaces near the school under any circumstances. These spaces designated for specific residents, are not the school. This issue frequently causes disputes with local residents with disabilities who are prevented from using the spaces to access their homes/vehicles.
Choir and Junior Chorus Assemblies
On Friday 11th July the Choir will be performing for the whole school at 9am. Parents of children in the Choir are invited to attend.
Missing Scooter
Please see the attached photo of a scooter that has gone missing. If you have taken this scooter home by mistake, please bring it to the school office.
If you are leaving children’s bikes or scooters at school, please put your child’s name on it. We do not recommend leaving them over night or over the weekend. The school cannot accept responsibility for the loss or damage of bikes/scooters left at school.
Snacks
Any snacks brought to school should be fruit or veg only. Children in Years 1-6 do not need an afternoon snack unless they have an Activity Club after school.
Term Dates
On 27th June the school will be open as normal and before and after school provision will be available as usual.
Dogs
No dogs, with the exception of service dogs, should be brought onto the school site. Also, if you need to leave your dog outside the school, please tie them to the fence and not the gates which need to be opened and closed. Thank you.
Holiday Camps at Coldfall
Booking for the May and Summer Holiday Camps is now open! Please book via Arbor. We have had great feedback from the children who attended our Easter Camp who enjoyed lots of activities! Please see April Headlines for the full list and some photos.
Lost Property
Please note any clothing that is not clearly named will be donated to Friends of Coldfall each Friday for their second-hand uniform sales.
Any named lost property will be returned to your child’s class or can be collected from the playground every Friday after school.
